Queen Bee

1.
Touch the side of your face, The face you had when you were young When you were wise Wiser than today In the lull of a lavender field Happy to be here Following our routes and their bittersweet geometry We will never get Give me your last kiss Is it for real? You Queen Bee Dance with me In the light of strawberry moon That's where we will meet You got your beautiful eyes and the truth The rest is up to me Tell me again Are all the flowers red? You Queen Bee Dance with me Touch the side of your face What does the wind do? Draw a line Turn your head to the right Stand on your right foot Turn back What sky is the color blue? Open and close your mouth Is the day light or dark? Turn back

about

Were we wiser when we were younger? The faces are transposed. Touching one side or the other we brush lightly, we cover and uncover parts of life, woven within the textures of our skin, into the irises of our own eyes.
The closing track of “Lavender Braid o.s.t.” CD version, designed and produced by Eugene for the homonymous medium-length film from American filmmaker Magdalena Hill, branches off into the dreamy and dreamed sonorities of the slight and gory meeting between humans and nature, taking on the more and more obscure and definitely entrapping hues of their own rhythmic; flamboyant flowers locked inside a glass case, ready to crack open, freeing the unique electronic sound branded EUGENE.
The videoclip direction has been entrusted to Alessandro Bavari (among his last works, “Alien Covenant”- Ridley Scott, author of a full-bodied and remarkable annal production), who had previously directed Eugene in 2014. The videoclip has been filmed in the Bavari Studios, supported by Augusto Lombardi (Anaka System) e Sara Aliscioni (backstage).
The concept, developed by Claire Lyndon, is freely inspired by the English artist Amy Judd who with her works, one in particular and it will be down to you to find out where and which one, touched the first chord in Lyndon’s mind, opening up an imagery to whom she herself, Eugene and Hill have made a deeply personal contribution towards the creation of a product - a riddle? - by which you cannot help but remain mesmerized.
Your ears will say thanks, your eyes will repeat "again". And the answer will always be just one: yes.
There is another question that you’ll ask yourself when listening to Eugene's song and watching the videoclip.
Eyes wide open.
Recommended volume level for listening: high.
